There is no silver bullet or quick fix to successful SEO. It requires dedication, with results typically taking at least six months to become visible. Neglecting content, failing to update regularly, and not creating fresh, engaging material can lead to a decline in site ranking. SEO is a long-term strategy requiring time, effort and constant content updates to maintain relevance and engagement.

    • E-A-T (Expertise, Authority, Trustworthiness) is a standard Google uses to evaluate the real-world relevance of content. Content must be created demonstrating deep understanding of the topic and a reputation as a credible source of information.
    • Trustworthiness is another crucial factor. SSL certificates and HTTPS are now industry standards; without them, site ranking will suffer. This is not an option.
    • GOOD content is critical. The site needs fresh original content on topic and focused. Existing content can also be updated, edited or “pruned” to freshen up.
    • Conduct regular audits of the website.
      • A technical audit will highlight backend and structural issues.
      • A rank audit will show site ranking along with the competition.
      • A site audit will help identify pages low in content, showing errors and identify broken links.

    • Social media and SEO marketing complement each other, providing a boost to SEO efforts. Keep social media updated and repurpose content from the company website for use on posts.

    • Title tags, meta descriptions, alt text, and headers are essential components. They provide Google with more information about content and what readers can expect upon site arrival.
        • Regularly review website analytics. Keep an eye on:
            • Bounce rate – should be less than 50%.
            • Time on Site – goal should be at least 90 seconds.
            • Exit Page – excessive exiting can indicate a page in need of additional development.
        • Site architecture is also critical to consider; it affects design and functionality. If the site has poor navigation, slow loading times, or hard-to-access elements, Google will struggle to crawl and index it.
        • Keyword research and selection play a crucial role in helping Google understand the purpose. By utilizing SEO tools such as SEM Rush, Ubersuggest or Google Search Console, identifying and incorporating relevant keywords aligning with the topic is much simpler. Developing both a primary and secondary keyword strategy is fundamental to website visibility.
        • Link building is challenging but essential for SEO success, requiring time and effort to build them correctly.
        • Slow load time can drastically impact SEO and user experience. Compress all media files to help accelerate page load time. If compression is not enough or it loses too much quality, remove it.
